.......Basically, what I'm tryna say is, do you have $5 I can borrow???

OK so I get that our economy is in total disarray. Hell, I use the recession as an excuse for everything. (No I do not have time to explain to you why that is. WE'RE IN A RECESSON!!!)

I'm straying from my point. Times are hard for everyone so now, more than ever, people should live within their means and exercise good financial common sense. This may mean that instead of paying to go out every weekend, you stay your @$$ home and only go out once or twice a month. This may mean you eliminate unnecessary expenses. (I done went and downgraded my cable since my TV watches me more than I watch it.)

But here's the $#!T that has me mad........

Why do people borrow money that they do not intend to pay back? Or borrow money and make you have to chase them down to get it back? And an even worse offense is when they tell you that they're going to pay you back and act like they forget.

I have 2 good friends that are unemployed and they both have people owing them substantial amounts of money. Let's make a new rule: IF YOU HAVE A JOB, DO NOT BORROW MONEY FROM A PERSON WHO DOES NOT. This should only be done in extenuating circumstances. If you do borrow money from them, don't make them have to chase you down to get their ish back....that's just disrespectful.

It also pisses me off when someone owes you money and they know they do so they avoid you like the plague.....they don't answer your phone calls. When you see them, they pretend that they don't see you. How cowardly is that?!?!?! Its like yo...do you think I'm gonna break your thumbs or shatter your kneecaps or something? Get real!!! It's really sad because there are a lot of people that feel like the world and everybody in it owes them something. This brings me to my phrase of the week.

FALSE SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT.

I believe in karma. What goes around comes back around. When one has a false sense of entitlement and/or take people's kindness for weakness, there's a very dark, cloudy, negative energy that they put out into the world. Why would a someone want to do that to someone who, out of the kindness of their heart, is trying to help them. I would make the assertion that no one wants anything negative like that to come back on them.

With that being said, people should get their minds right and stop taking advantage of folks.

The Lost Art of Communication

For a while, one of my favorite quotes has been, "There is something fundamentally wrong with society." Quite honestly, I don't remember if this is something that I came up with or if I read it somewhere but I believe this, wholeheartedly.

After careful consideration, I think I figured out what part of the problem with society is. Drum roll please........................

POOR COMMUNICATION

Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen... Poor Communication is an epidemic that has plagued the world..... Sad state of affairs. It's been said on numerous occasions that someone's word is their bond. I really have a hard time understanding why people find such tremendous issue with meaning what they say and saying what they mean. This translates into people not keeping their word as then tend to say one thing while allowing their actions to contradict their words. I fully recognize that we are all human and are bound to make mistakes. No one walking this earth is perfect. I also understand that things do happen. Sometimes extenuating circumstances prevent us from keeping our word. While this is true, some people habitually run into problems. It has to be a pretty depressing existence when the soundtrack to your life is "Everything Happens to Me".

It's kind of like if people were better at communicating, situations wouldn't escalate as much as they do. For example, a person says that they're going to be in a certain place at a certain time to do something for someone. If this is what they say, this is what they should do. If situations are preventing them to be where they're supposed to be, why can't they just say so. This would avoid them being looked upon as a bull$#itter. Another example is someone with the reputation of being a bull$#itter saying that they want to "turn over a new leaf" and stand by their word from here on out and within days of this proclamation, they are still deep within the Big Bag 'O Bull$#!T!!!!!!! (wow... got kinda personal on that one.... my bad)

Meaning what you say and saying what you mean seems like common sense to me but then again, "common sense is not so common". I know you may be thinking maybe I should take a closer look at the people I surround myself with. This is very true. I get that and I'm really taking the time to think this over , but some of these are situations that I really can't control. I'm sure that we are all aware that some relationships are inherited.

Well.... I said my peace.... and that's all.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!!!

I need a vacation because.....

As you may or may not know, I work in an office with a business casual dress code. What with my mode of transportation being public, I prefer to wear my sneakers while I commute. I keep an few pairs of shoes under my desk for added convenience.

Today, I had to deliver some contracts to the VP's office for signature and I figured that white nikes may not have been appropriate attire.

Because I'm such a diligent worker and a firm believer in multi-tasking, I didn't really notice that I was putting on 2 different shoes, what with my attention being focused elsewhere and all.

Yep...2 different shoes....2 different styles and the heel on 1 is about 1/4 inch higher than the other 1. I walked across the building and back to my desk before I looked down and saw one gray and black pump and 1 brown 1.

Thank God for this 4 Day wknd I have coming up.
